• Made from a unidirectional carbon composite with aramid layer to prevent compression and provide critical penetration protection
• Epoxy resin bonding is incorportated to limit outer shell deflection so that impact energy spreads wider and is better absorbed by the EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) liner
• Formed with a multi-density EPS polymer, the energy absorbing layer produces an inner helmet profile which soaks up impact forces dissipated over the outer shell and offers a close and comfortable fit
• Four section construction allows for specific densities of polymer to be prepared for different zones around the helmet lining, further improving impact absorption as well as fit and comfort
• Removable, washable liner cover features a coolmax fabric interior and antibacterial talent yarn for long lasting freshness and quick-dry performance between rides
• Helmet features TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) coated washable surfaces to improve ease of maintenance and increase durability
• With a micro-adjustable pad that is connected to the helmet inner shell, it is possible to raise or lower the helmet fit and also to tilt the helmet forward or backward to achieve optimum height and angle
• Bottom profile is raised for increased clavicle clearance
• Chin bar is formed with polypropylene which, by allowing for a degree of lateral deflection, improves impact protection for the collarbones
• When rotational energy is impacted upon the helmet, the MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) allows for movement of the low friction “slip” layer to dampen and redirect the energy, thus significantly mitigating the causes of brain injuries such as concussion
• Side cheek padding allows for safe and efficient extraction while the helmet is still on the rider’s head, creating an Emergency Release System (ERS) for ease of removal by trackside support and medical staff
• Along with the ERS padding removal, Eject inflation system is designed to be fitted into the inside crown of the shell to allow for emergency removal of the helmet without putting load on the rider’s spine
• Omnidirectional visor release system allows detachment from the helmet shell if the visor is subjected to a significant impact, reducing potentially damaging leverage and rotational accelerations that refer injury to the rider’s neck and spine
• Heat mapping tests have resulted in specifically designed ducting which produces a positive airflow into the helmet over and around the rider’s head, improving comfort while riding and reducing the onset of heat stress in extreme conditions
• Visor is profiled to direct airflow into the helmet, where the specially formed liner creates channeling around the rider’s head before being extracted through rear exhaust vents to ensure positive pressure is maintained with constant fresh air while riding
• Lining design includes canals that allow for a tube to be incorporated on either side of the shell, enabling convenient fitting and connection to a hydration system
• Extra wide 26mm chin strap is produced with soft woven poly yarn featuring a double D-ring closure
